iCAT Cone Beam 3-D Imaging
Drs. Scott and Simpson are very proud to offer this modern imaging technique within their own office. Currently, this is a distinction that is only found in the upper echelon of surgical practices. Tomorrow’s implant dentistry, today!
We have the ability to see the skull in 3-D, which facilitates the decision making process without delay. The study can be performed in 8.9 seconds in the office. Full 3-D reconstruction is obtained in less than 20 seconds. The surgeons are then able to immediately treatment plan the placement of the implant using the advanced software systems.
The Cone Beam CT scan surpasses the capabilities of conventional 2-D radiographs providing distortion-free images.
Patients are more confident in the discussion of potential grafting procedures by being able to visualize their own anatomy firsthand. They are better prepared and comforted by knowing exactly what to expect.
We have found that our patients are appreciative for the convenience of not having to travel to an imaging center and then return to the surgical office for a reevaluation of the scans. It is in one location providing efficiency at a cost savings.
